Hello Everyone!
If you’re new to my blog after meeting me at Kate’s Cup, thanks for stopping by! I had the amazing privilege to speak to this wonderful group of moms today on The Art of Parenting and how God has encouraged me on my motherhood journey.
I promised the ladies that I’d post all of the verses and quotes that I used today, so that’s what you’ll find below.
I shared today that God has a way of encouraging us just when we need it; we just need to be on the lookout for Him. He cares about what we go through. I pray that these words are a blessing to you:
“Without oxen a stable stays clean,
But you need a strong ox for a large harvest.”
– Proverbs 14:4 NLT
“Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty, but from the strength of an ox comes an abundant harvest.”
– Proverbs 14:4 NIV (1984)
“But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.”
– 2 Timothy 4:5
“Jesus said . . . ‘Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.’”
– Matthew 11:28
“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
– James 1:5
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.”
– Proverbs 3:5-6
“Parents are often so busy with the physical rearing of children that they miss the glory of parenthood, just as the grandeur of the trees is lost when raking leaves.”
– Marcelene Cox
“When family members start speaking each other’s primary language, the emotional climate of the family is greatly enhanced.”
– Gary Chapman
“If I had my child to raise all over again, I’d build self-esteem first and the house later. I’d finger paint more and point the finger less. I would do less correcting and more connecting. I’d take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes. I’d take more hikes and fly more kites. I’d stop playing serious – and seriously play. I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars. I’d do more hugging and less tugging.”
