I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite things with you!
I enjoy:
Books: I’ve always loved reading, which is probably part of why I’m a writer. As a kid, I always had my nose in a book. During summer vacation when I was 12, I read the book Roots for fun. It’s 700 pages.
I mostly read non-fiction, I’m always looking to learn and grow. Here’s a link (*affiliate) to an extensive list of my favorite books, Bibles and some other fun things.
Going to coffee with friends: Although I’m not a coffee drinker myself. I’ve tried several times and the caffeine makes me jittery and anxious. Chai lattes are my favorite. If I’m not counting calories, I sometimes get a blueberry scone too.
Meals shared with friends and family: Eating dinner together is a priority for my family. Cooking isn’t always something I enjoy, but somehow, we manage to eat every day. Haha! I also love getting together with friends and family for special occasions or just because. I have a sign with Acts 2:46 above our dinner table: “They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” Having loved ones around the table makes my heart smile.
Movies and Popcorn: My happy place is snuggled up with my family on the couch to watch a movie and eat popcorn. Going to the movie theater makes me happy too. I’ll eat a light dinner or even skip dessert to save room for popcorn.
Traveling: I got my first passport at age two and have visited nearly 20 countries. I’ve lived in Germany, Israel and Argentina. I’ve not traveled much since having my kids, so pretty much the last decade. My desire to travel is always there and I’m looking forward to taking my kids on some fun adventures.
